The competitive program provides a more challenging program for skilled players.  CYSA Competitive teams Are affiliated with Super Liga and play in competitions with other Super Liga teams from other associated teams.

Competitive Tryouts

We are excited to announce Competitive Tryouts for the 2026-2027 season are 5/22/26 & 5/27/26

In addition to the normal schedule information, there are very important changes to next year’s team formation approach we want to make you aware of.

New Age Groups Start in the Fall

US Soccer is making a nationwide shift to a school year based calendar (Aug 1 – Jul 31) instead of a birth year based calendar (Jan 1 – Dec 31).  This means there is significant potential for teams to look pretty different next year. Please double check the new age groups to ensure you are planning on the right tryout session. 

Important Note: Those interested in “playing up” must attend both try outs if on a separate date.

Schedule:

CYSA will hold tryouts 5/22/26 & 5/27/26  as follows:

• Wednesday 5/27 6pm-7pm  U7/8/9/10 Ages  8/1/2016-7/31/2020

• Friday 5/22 6pm-7pm  U11/12/13/14 . Ages  8/1/2012- 7/31/2016

Any kids 7/31/12 and over would register to gauge interest but there would be no actual tryouts

Tryout Attendance Conflicts:

Players unable to attend the tryout must submit a waiver request via email to the Competitive Director (competitive@chariho.com)  by   5/15/26     Waiver requests must include the reason for not attending the tryout.  Players wishing to join a team after tryouts have passed must also contact the Competitive Director.
